ABAC Tech ATF · oil-free · 270 lOil-free air with its reserve included. The ATF-4-270FT is the same four-kilowatt airend as in the basic version of the ATF range, only mounted straight onto a horizontal receiver of 270 litres. It delivers 396 l/min at 10 bar, the S1 motor may run a whole shift without a break and it starts directly. The vessel forms the base, so the machine needs no anchoring — it is set on a level floor and connected to a three-phase supply.
Why an assembly on a receiver
A compressor without a vessel needs either a receiver or pipework long enough to build the reserve itself — otherwise the motor would cut in many times an hour. Here the reserve is part of the machine: no anchoring of the airend, no pipework to the vessel and no mounting of the pressure switch, because it all arrives assembled and wired.
The price is space and weight: the assembly is 1,629 mm long and weighs 150 kg. If your plant room is small or you want the compressor somewhere else than the air reserve, the frame-mounted airend from the basic version works out better — it weighs 80 kg and can be placed anywhere.

Where to go if ATF-4-270FT does not fit
The same airend without a vessel is ATF-4-BTX, the whole oil-free range without a receiver is in the basic version of the range. The same assembly with oil lubrication is in the oil-lubricated ATL range and in a sound enclosure in the sound-insulated ATFS range.
The delivered figure is the air the machine supplies at a working pressure of 10 bar; the intake is the volume the airend draws in. Noise is given as the sound power level Lwa from the machine plate and as the sound pressure at 4 m from the machine. Performance data according to ISO 1217, Annex C, noise according to ISO 2151.
Ventilek recommends
Two hundred and seventy litres is a sensible middle choice for an airend of this size — it covers demand in bursts and the motor then cuts in less often. Do not forget the condensate, though: oil-free air is free of oil, not of water, and it has to be drained from the vessel regularly. And count on the noise: 103 dB of sound power is not a machine for a workshop where people work.
