ABAC Tech ATL · S1 100 % · star-deltaThe top of the category. ATL-5.5-270FTX delivers 576 l/min at 10 bar from the same two-hundred-and-seventy-litre tank as the four-kilowatt machine. The motor runs up through star-delta, so the current surge at start-up is gentler — at five and a half kilowatts on continuous duty that is usually a condition of the supply.
Why star-delta
On a direct start a three-phase motor draws a current surge several times its rated current. Star-delta starting splits it into two steps: the winding is first connected in star at a lower voltage and switches to delta once the motor is up to speed. It makes no difference to how the machine runs afterwards.
Against the four-kilowatt machine that is 174 l/min more from the same tank and the same assembly length. The weight grows from 150 to 189 kg and the noise by one decibel, to 100 dB Lwa.

Where to go if ATL-5,5-270FTX does not fit

The delivered figure is the air the machine supplies at a working pressure of 10 bar; the intake is the volume the pump draws in. At five and a half kilowatts, ask an electrician before you order. Star-delta does cut the surge, but the supply still has to carry the machine.
