How to grind with an eccentric grinder?
Grinding with an eccentric grinder is somewhat different than grinding with an angle grinder. This type of grinder is best suited for grinding rounded surfaces, but of course you can also enjoy grinding flat surfaces. Eccentric grinders are also more efficient than vibratory grinders, with which they can sometimes be confused. What is it? Unlike a vibratory grinder, an eccentric grinder not only vibrates but also rotates. The eccentric grinder has a circular grinding plate instead of a rectangular or square one. The rotary motion is slightly offset - that's why it's called eccentric - by up to 2.5-3 mm to prevent circular marks from forming on the grinding material. You will therefore be pleased with the high quality of the ground surface. Of course, it also depends on the sandpaper you use. Always start with coarse sandpaper, for example grit 40, and gradually use finer to finest. For example, 120 is sufficient for sanding wood, but there are also papers with a grit of 1,200, which can be called more like polishing, which you can use for glass. When grinding, be sure to wear protective equipment such as goggles or a mask.
What else you can use with your air tools:
- Spare grinding pads and sponges
- Spiral hoses for all pneumatic tools
- Hose quick couplings for connecting pneumatic tools
- Pressure regulators for the right application pressure
- Compressed air distributions
- Special oils for air tools
